getting it right
Your Bridal Makeup Trial
A bridal makeup trial is the perfect opportunity for us to connect and prepare for your big day. It’s a chance for me to truly understand your vision, ideas, and preferences, ensuring we create a look that feels uniquely you.
During the trial, we’ll explore different styles and make any adjustments needed until we find the perfect fit. Whether we get it right on the first try or refine the look together, the goal is to achieve a timeless, elegant result that complements your wedding style.
The trial takes place in my makeup studio in Arklow and typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. It’s recommended to schedule your trial two to three months before your wedding to give us enough time to plan and finalize your dream look.
Over the years I have had brides that may live abroad or for other reasons cannot attend a bridal trial in person. In these circumstances, we can chat over a video call or email or phone call, whichever suits you, we talk about everything that we would in person at a trial so I get a chance to know you, your style and vision

Why book Lisa?
Our bridal trial is about us meeting and getting to know each other. I will do a consultation where we chat about your skin type, your inspiration photos, and your dream wedding makeup. I will take my time getting to know you and your vision for yourself and help guide you as well. My style of makeup is an elevated and polished version of you. I want to feel confident. Wedding makeup doesn’t need to feel heavy to look amazing and last, I know all the techniques and tricks to make sure you look your best all day and night. My years of experience not only as a bridal makeup artist but also photoshoots and media, means that I have the professional skills that can be tailored to you. After the trial, I will send you any product recommendations and we can chat about any adjustments you might like to make. I will send you a suggested schedule for your morning. Past brides have commented on my calm and professional manner on the wedding morning, and of course lots of fun! It is one of the most special days in your life, and it is a privilege to be part of it
How many people can I accomodate
Generally my happy maximum is a bridal party of 5, at the most 6. This is so that everything is nice and relaxed, not feeling rushed and we aren’t starting too early for makeup. I allow an hour per person and a little longer for the bride. I like to have everyone ready at least an hour before the ceremony. If you have a large bridal party I am happy to help to find a second makeup artist that I work with to accommodate everyone, this will be quoted separately
On the wedding morning, I will help you keep on schedule and be on hand for touchups and for any needs you might have.
The booking process
Once you have received your quote and are ready to booking, I will ask for a non refundable booking fee, this covers my admin services and will be deducted from your quote. I ask for payment in full at least a week, I will send a reminder with your balance.
Cancellations by the client
- You have the right to cancel your booking at any time.
- Please note that the booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable as it covers administrative time spent on your booking.
- Cancellations within the following timeframes are subject to additional charges:
- 10 weeks of the wedding date: 50% of total costs.
- 6 weeks of the wedding date: 75% of total costs.
- 4 weeks of the wedding date: 100% of total costs.
Change of Date
- If you need to reschedule due to an unforeseen circumstance, emergency (verification may be required), or personal reasons:
- Your booking can be transferred to a new date, subject to my availability.
- Your booking fee will be retained to cover administrative time and loss of date costs, and a new booking fee will be charged.
- Prices may be subject to adjustments for the new date.
- Cancellations or date changes are only valid if received via email, with follow-up confirmation if initiated via a phone call.
Cancellations by the Makeup Artist
- If I am unable to fulfil your booking due to illness, injury, personal emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, I will do my best to secure a replacement makeup artist.
- If a replacement makeup artist cannot be arranged, you will receive a full refund, excluding any trial costs that have already been paid.
- I reserve the right to cancel a booking under the following conditions:
- Payment is not received.
- Incorrect information is provided by the client.
- The booking fee is not paid to secure the date.
- Contact cannot be made with the client.
